About Hedgerow Press

Established in the fall of 2004, Hedgerow Press is located in rural North Saanich, Vancouver Island, B.C. Hedgerow is a small company that publishes high quality books of literary and visual beauty, limiting its annual production so as to give greater attention to each individual book. Hedgerow Press was a finalist for the B.C. Booksellers’ Choice Award in 2005.

Hedgerow considers most genres for publication, with the exception of novels, academic texts, and illustrated children’s books. Preference is given to Canadian authors and artists/illustrators. Hedgerow places a strong emphasis on local production and promotion.

NEWS FLASH Jane Rule’s “Loving the Difficult” is the 2009 Lambda Literary Award winner for non-fiction. The Lambda Literary Foundation announced the winning title at an awards ceremony in New York City on 28 May, 2009.
