Submission Policy
Please do not submit manuscripts without first sending a letter of enquiry, which includes an outline and a sample of the work (e.g. one chapter or a few poems). If you wish to submit illustrations, please send copies only, not originals. This material will not be returned.
If we ask to see your full manuscript, this should be on hard copy, not e-mail or computer disk. Please write your name and address on the manuscript and enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope, though even with this we cannot guarantee return of the manuscript. All submissions are sent at the sender’s own risk, even when Hedgerow has shown interest in them. Please do not send original art work.
Acceptance Procedures
An acknowledgement will be sent on receipt of your full manuscript. We will normally write with an assessment of your manuscript within three to four months and if we plan to publish it may make suggestions for further editing. This will not represent a commitment to publish the work until such time as a contract is signed.
